Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
StackSing ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by RippaX Labs, LLC, respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
1. What we collect
Account information
When you create an account we store your email address, name, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name, profile picture, and a Google user ID from Google — nothing more.
Recordings and projects
Audio and video you record in StackSing is stored on Cloudflare R2 (object storage) and linked to your account. We also store pitch detection data (a timestamped list of frequencies) to enable features like auto-tune and the pitch guide. Recordings are private by default; they become viewable by others only if you explicitly choose to publish a project to a share link.
Voice range calibration
During onboarding we ask you to sing for about 20 seconds so we can measure your comfortable low and high notes. Only the two resulting frequency values (in hertz) are saved to your account — the audio itself is never transmitted or stored.
Billing
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see your full card number. Stripe sends us events (via webhook) that say your subscription started, renewed, failed, or cancelled; we store your Stripe customer ID and the current subscription state so we can show your correct plan.
Technical data
Our infrastructure (Cloudflare) records standard web request metadata — IP address, user agent, request time — for security, abuse prevention, and performance. These logs are retained for no more than 30 days.
2. How we use it
- To provide the service you signed up for (recording, playback, export)
- To enforce your plan limits (free vs Pro)
- To let you share public projects when you opt in
- To respond to your support requests
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and service degradation
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your recordings to train machine-learning models without your explicit, separate consent.
3. Who we share with
- Cloudflare — hosts our Worker, database (D1), object storage (R2), and caching. Data stays under our control.
- Stripe — payments and billing management.
- Google — only when you choose to sign in with Google (OAuth).
- Law enforcement — if we receive a valid legal request (subpoena, court order, etc.) we will comply and, where legally permitted, notify you.
Anyone you explicitly share a public project link with can see the video/audio of that project.
4. Data retention
We keep your account data and recordings while your account is active. You can delete any project at any time. Deleting your account (Settings → Danger Zone) removes your account row, all projects, all recordings from R2, and cancels any active subscription immediately. Backups in our infrastructure are purged within 30 days.
5. Your rights
You can at any time:
- Access or export your data (email us — see below)
- Correct inaccurate information in your profile
- Delete your account via Settings → Danger Zone
- Withdraw consent for any optional processing
Residents of the EU, UK, and California have additional rights under GDPR / CCPA (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection). We honor those rights; email the address below to exercise them.
6. Children
StackSing is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child created an account, email us and we will delete it.
7. International transfers
Our infrastructure runs on Cloudflare's global network, which may route requests through data centers outside your country. Standard contractual clauses and other safeguards apply.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Substantive changes will be announced by email or in-app at least 7 days before taking effect.
